'Julungo' has bagged the award at the Nepal-America International Film Festival. Directed by Rajesh Prasad Khatri, 'Julungo' (The Scarecrow) has won the 'Best Jury Award for Short Film'. The short film “Grammercy” by Pat Heywood and Jamil Mcginnis also won awards.

Ramdas Kadavallur's film 'Mannu: Sprouts of Endurance' won the 'Special Jury Mansion Award' while Sofia Alva's film 'So What If Goats Die' also won the 'Special Jury Mention Award'. Lori Felker's 'Spontaneous' has won the 'Jury Award for Outstanding Experimentation' at the four-day festival.

The 'Best Feature Film Jury Award' went to 'I'm Suffocating, This Is My Last Film About You', which is directed by Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese, also won the 'Grand Jury Award' at the festival. Thirty films from 14 countries, including Nepal, were screened for free at the Nepal-America Film Festival. During this festival, which is always attended in physical form, this time it was done virtually despite the epidemic.

According to Purna Singh Baraili, president of the Nepal-America Film Festival Society, the festival has been virtually successful. He said that he got a good response from the audience, filmmakers, and art lovers. The jury of the festival included Ramyata Limbu, Sapana Shakya from the USA, Rebecca Bismante, Nina Strick, Rita Meher, and Portia Cobb.
