'Nisha Ghimire Memorial Award' has been awarded to actress Pabitra Acharya and model Usha Upreti. During a ceremony held in the capital on Monday, first actress Bhuwan Chand, senior artist Mithila Sharma, President of the Artists Association Rabindra Khadka, and others presented the awards.

Megha Chaudhary of Norvic Hospital, journalist Prakash Subedi, and Nawajeevan Parapokar Samaj received special honors at the event. Artists Uttak KC, Mohan Niraula, fund coordinator Durganath Dahal, music composer Santosh Shrestha, and many others were present at the event. Actress and model Nisha, who was involved in a road accident in India a few years ago, was given free treatment at Norvic Hospital by Megha Chaudhary on the initiative of Nawajeevan Parapokar Samaj. After 5-6 months of treatment, Ghimire passed away on Bhadra 16, 2078 while undergoing treatment.

While Nisha was undergoing treatment, well-wishers from abroad wished for her health and sent support money. With the same amount, a conservation fund 'Nisha Ghimire Memorial Fund' was established last year in the name of Ghimire at the initiative of Nawajeevan Parapokar Samaj and the Nepal Movie Artists Association. After the death of Nisha, the amount collected in the same fund was kept in the Akshaya Fund, as per the decision to give awards to two models and actresses every year, this year's award was dedicated to Pabitra and Usha.
