Film Journalists Association Nepal, an umbrella organization of film journalists, has distributed three years of honors and awards on the occasion of its 23rd anniversary. Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki distributed honors and awards to 16 film journalists during a program organized at Lisara Reception in Naxal on Saturday.
Shantipriya and Rajan Ghimire were honored with 'National Film Journalism Honors 2077' at the ceremony while Diwakar Mainali and R. D were awarded the 'National Film Journalism Award 2077'. Similarly, Subrat Raj Acharya and Sandeep Sapkota were honored with 'National Film Journalism Honors Award 2078' while Kumar Acharya and Geeta Adhikari were awarded with 'National Film Journalism Award 2078'.
Rajaram Phuyal and Laxman Subedi were honored with the National Film Journalism Honors Award 2079 while Manoj Neupane and Rem Rasaili of Pokhara were awarded the National Film Journalism Promotion Award of the year 2078 BS and the National Outside Valley Film Journalism Award of the same year respectively. The 2079 Film Journalism Award was given to Nemish Gautam and Vishnu Prasad Subedi.
Similarly, the 'National Film Journalism Promotion Award' of 2079 BS was given to photographer Uddhav Rasaili and the same year's 'National Film Journalism Award' was given to Shri Ram Arjun of Hetauda. The prize money was Rs 51,000 and the Outside Valley Film Journalism Award was Rs 25,000. The program was held under the chairmanship of Dinesh Sitaula, president of the association.
Rajesh Hamal, Bhuwan KC, Saroj Khanal, Krishna Malla, Deepashree Niraula, Rambabu Gurung, Maniram Pokharel, Surendra Poudel, Himal K.C, Poonam Gautam, Sharmila Pandey, Om Prakash Agrawal of OSR Digital, Janak Tamang of Highlights Nepal, Shriyantra Nabin Prajapati of the console, Shankar Pandey, Arjun Kumar, former president and producer of the Film Association Pradip Kumar Uday, president of the Film Producers Association Aakash Adhikari, president of the Film Artists Association Rabindra Khadka, general secretary of the Film Directors Society Janakdeep Parajuli and actor Nirmal Sharma were present.
