This biopic will be produced by Love Ranjan and Ankur Garg. A former captain of the national cricket team, he established himself as one of the world's top batsmen and the most successful captain of the Indian National Cricket Team during his cricket career. Active as a cricketer since the 90s, he is currently the Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
The production team has not given any information about who will play the role of Sourav Ganguly in this biopic, which will be directed by Love Ranjan, the director of a super hit film like 'Pyar Ka Panchanama'. However, in an interview, Ganguly said that actor Ranbir Kapoor was the first choice to play his role. Therefore, there is a strong possibility of Ranbir entering the film. After hearing this news, Sourav Ganguly wrote, ‘Cricket is my life, it gave me the confidence and ability to move forward with my head held high. A journey that can be remembered. I am thrilled that Love Films is making a biopic of my journey and bringing it to life on the big screen'. The budget of the film is said to be around Rs 250 crore.
